Our client is a leading publisher for the professional, academic and corporate markets based in Berkshire. They are seeking an Assistant Content Manager to assist in the development and production of their flagship product, a database of scientific research in the areas of food and health.
This role will be crucial in identifying relevant published scientific content which is relevant for this database, and the successful individual will source published content from primary journals, assess the quality and relevance of scientific sources and contribute to the development of the database from a scientific content perspective.
The successful candidate will have a knowledge of the scientific publishing process, with excellent editing skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills. A degree or equivalent in the life sciences is an essential requirement, any further experience in content management, and scientific abstracting or indexing would be an advantage.
