Assistant Production Manager
Assistant Production Manager - 3 month contract.
A highly successful London book publisher is currently seeking an Assistant Production Manager to join their team for a 3 month contract with an immediate start. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will cover the full product development process from creative sourcing, through print placement, file supply, schedule management and quality control to the successful delivery of the product.
You will support and lead members of your team, delegating and monitoring work effectively, will ensure that learning and project work is shared across the department and company where necessary, will control a limited personal list of titles, will provide reports for management meetings and recommend improvements to the department, ensure that clear and consistent quality expectations are met, and will help to apply solutions which will support and improve the effectiveness of the Controller’s role.
The ideal candidate will have proven book production and management experience, across a range of 4c illustrated titles, and experience in trade publishing would be advantageous. You must have superb communication and organisational skills, will be pro-active, quick thinking, analytical, flexible and should be a confident worker able to hit the deck running in this position.
