Associate Editor

We are very excited to be working with an award-winning internationally-recognized science publisher and peer-to-peer review platform, who inform scientists about the best products and technology through the power of peer-to-peer recommendation. Our client has transformed global scientific communication and digital marketing for the last twenty-five years and has won awards for Enterprise. This is a hybrid role working from the company’s office close to Bath one day a week and the rest of the week working from home.

The Associate Editor will develop and deliver an editorial/marketing plan to grow scientist membership and engagement, which will enable sales and sponsorship opportunities within a specific field/community. The Associate Editor will also develop, source, write and manage content and communications (original news stories, expert articles, video interviews, product reviews, webinars etc), as well as responsibility for ongoing research target science market, so you will be the ‘go to’ expert on a dedicated area. This will involve attending international conferences and exhibitions; visiting institutes and science organisations, supporting sales visits to sponsors.

This is a superb role that can be developed, with the opportunity to grow the role within the organisation. The successful person will be educated with a Master’s degree or higher, in a life science subject or chemistry, pharma, applied sciences or natural science. Experience in science publishing, product marketing or marketing experience would be highly useful for this role but is not essential. You will also have the ability to use your writing skills and editorial judgement to strategically develop messages for various audiences.
