Associate Editor/Editorial Assistant - Maternity Cover

 Do you have a passion for History or an interest in the Humanities? We have a fantastic opportunity to build your editorial experience as part of the team with this leading, global education and technology company. We are looking for a highly organised individual with great communications skills to fill this hybrid working role. This position will require 1 day per week in their Andover offices with the remainder working remotely. Tasks will include supporting the editorial team while working with Historical primary sources and contributing to new product research and development.

Responsibilities include:

  • Investigate, quantify, and collect data on source content prior to digitisation
  • Assist with the preparation of market research for new product proposals
  • Support projects and assist Editors with copyright clearance
  • Conduct general market research as required by editorial team
  • Carrying out other duties as required to support the work of the Publishing team

You will have a keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, a flexible approach to your work and a real willingness to learn new skills. Ideally you will have some experience of working within an office environment and a strong interest in the Humanities however this fixed term contract position could also be an ideal opportunity for a graduate looking to build relevant experience as an Editorial Assistant.
