Associate Manager Copyright, Exam Publishing

A leading educational publishing organisation has an opportunity for an Associate Manager, Copyright, to join their Assessment division. This role offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package, and is based in our client's Cardiff office in Wales.

The main remit of the Associate Manager, Copyright is to manage the copyright licensing process and the associated risks in both legal and security capacities, and will continually strive to improve the quality of copyright published material. They will be responsible for auditing processes and maintaining the licensing of assets used in the assessment workflow process, making recommendations for initiatives that will ensure the security of assessments along with the legal obligations are met. The role is also responsible for the implementation and support of a digital asset library to manage the ongoing and repeat licensing of assets. It also provides support to the exam publishing team in research, review and implementation of technical developments required for future-proofing copyright licensing in the publishing process, including assisting with the development of reporting tools and making recommendations for the improving effective and efficient production principles across both paper and digital processes and systems.

The ideal Associate Manager, Copyright will have proven copyright management experience, ideally managing copyright and risk within a secure production environment, as well as experience of managing and training others, and of using metadata and asset management systems ideally. The Associate Manager, Copyright will have excellent attention to detail, along with strong communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of secure publishing production technology and techniques, and of project management methodologies will be desirable, but are not essential requirements.
