If you have solid experience as a Commissioning Editor in Educational Publishing, and are seeking a part-time role then read on! We have an exciting opportunity of Associate Publisher with a global educational publisher, based in London. This role is part-time, 3 days per week, on a 12 month fixed-term maternity contract, offering an excellent salary and benefits.
The Associate Publisher will be responsible for the overall performance of the Secondary revision and 11+ product portfolio, and will support the Publisher in setting the strategic priorities and direction for the wider list. Main responsibilities include: market research, product acquisition, product development, product performance and list strategy. The Associate Publisher will have their finger on the pulse in terms of market requirements and look to translate those into viable product proposals, print or digital. You will be happy to be out and about visiting schools, MATs, colleges and other customers in order to identify market trends and publishing opportunities. This is a varied position that plays a pivotal role in the overall success of the Secondary revision and 11+ publishing programme.
The ideal Associate Publisher will have strong education sector knowledge and experience of list management, along with relevant commissioning or product development / editorial experience in educational publishing. You will have strong commercial awareness including the ability to spot market opportunities/identify gaps in the market.
