Senior Press Officer

Who we are looking for:

An exciting opportunity has come up at Atlantic Books for an organised, creative, enthusiastic Senior Press Officer to join our Publicity Department. We are looking for someone who will implement successful publicity campaigns for a wide range of titles across the Atlantic, Corvus, and Allen & Unwin imprints, with a particular focus on commercial non-fiction and fiction.

The ideal candidate will be extremely efficient, professional, and enjoy working in a busy team. They will have strong existing relationships with a wide range of media and a keen sense of the current media landscape. They will work closely with authors, agents, journalists, events organisers, and the wider book trade, as well as collaborating closely with in-house colleagues across departments. This is a full-time, permanent role with a minimum of two days per week in our Central London (Bloomsbury) office. The Senior Press Officer will report to the Senior Publicity Director.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be planning, implementing, and managing publicity campaigns for a selection of titles across the Atlantic, Corvus, and Allen & Unwin imprints, with a particular focus on commercial non-fiction and fiction. This will include writing press releases, compiling bespoke mailing lists, creating and placing feature pieces, organising interviews, events, and festival appearances, and maintaining excellent author care. You will also work with senior publicists on high profile campaigns.

Who we are:

Atlantic Books is part of the Independent Alliance, and incorporates Atlantic Books, Corvus, Allen & Unwin and Grove Press UK. We operate core hours of 10am-4pm, with currently a minimum of two days a week in the office. Flexible working around these parameters can be discussed in the interview process. This role will include occasional out-of-hours work at events.
