This multifaceted and diverse position sits within the publishing team and is perfect for an individual who harbors a deep enthusiasm for audiobooks, publishing, and content. Your primary objective is to ensure that this esteemed audio company maintains its outstanding relationships with the world's leading literary agents and publishers while contributing to the expansion of their captivating roster of internationally renowned authors. With responsibilities spanning various aspects of the business, ranging from manuscript assessment to optimising their digital platforms, You will collaborate closely with the rest of the rights team to ensure the ongoing success of both thier library and trade list.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Advocating and presenting the brand and principles to contacts in pursuit of optimal deals and the establishment of enduring relationships.
- Exploring fresh content opportunities and diverse formats.
- Expanding and nurturing the publishing cataloge in the UK and across the globe.
- Sustaining prominent standing and relationships in the global publishing sector.
- Scouring for the finest content, blockbuster titles, and exciting emerging authors.
- Collaborating closely with major literary agents.
- Evaluating and procuring top-quality adult and children's content.
- Coordinating with the marketing and sales teams to ensure effective communication and promotion of titles in all markets.
Additionally, you will be responsible for managing relationships with publishing partners, acting as a primary editorial contact for them, conducting regular meetings to discuss and plan publishing schedules. You will also collaborate with the UK publishing team to optimise scheduling for the entire publishing program and work with both internal and their marketing teams to maintain exceptional sales and market-leading performance.
