Osprey Games (an imprint of Bloomsbury Publishing) are looking for a highly skilled, creative graphic designer to join their team and work across an award-winning list of board games, wargames, and roleplaying games such as ‘Undaunted: Normandy’, ‘Cryptid’ and ‘Stargrave’, based in the Oxford office as part of the Production team.
The role
- Creative lead on all components and packaging for board games, and design and layout for wargaming books
- Working with Editorial, Production, Sales and Marketing teams to deliver to briefs and deadlines
- Managing delivery of concept at cover meetings and at all further stages of design process
- Meeting critical Design and Sales dates for cover use across all Bloomsbury platforms
- Applying corrections and changes as necessary to all proofing stages as required
- Updating all internal systems as required, and monitoring key dates for delivery of all artwork
Knowledge, skills and experience
Highly skilled in Adobe Creative suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Excellent communication skills
Previous experience of designing packaging for board games, wargaming and / or roleplaying games and materials preferred
Previous graphic design experience in a games / publishing related environment
Deadline driven, with an eye for detail, creatively motivated
An interest in table-top gaming in general

The role is a full-time, permanent position, and is based at our Oxford office, Kemp House, Chawley Park, Cumnor Hill, Oxford OX2 9PH, on a hybrid working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred).
Allocated office days for this role are: Monday & Tuesday.
