Global Website Editor/Manager, Digital Marketing & Website

We are looking for a creative and innovative Global Website Manager & Editor to join our Digital Marketing & Website team. Reporting into the Head of Website, the role is responsible for day-to-day management of, ensuring content on the website is optimised to drive customer traffic and engagement, while meeting the needs of wider Bloomsbury stakeholders.

The role will collaborate with teams from across Bloomsbury’s global offices and departments, supporting campaigns promoting our exciting and varied publishing, as well as perusing and implementing new content opportunities to showcase our books and other products.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing a website, a strong knowledge of content marketing, with excellent writing and editing skills.

The role

  • Ensure is up to date, and content is accurate
  • Own the content management system (CMS) for, and Bloomsbury’s other direct to consumer websites
  • Line management of the Web Content Assistant
  • Provide CMS training and support to users from across the company
  • Liaising with teams to ensure their areas of the website are up to date, maintain brand consistency, and follow best practice
  • Manage and maintain a content schedule for all marketing departments, with briefs for design assets, and co-ordinate site-wide or area-specific promotions
  • Assisting on enhancement and development projects, for both and it’s other direct to consumer websites
  • Tracking website content performance and how customers engage with the website
  • Identifying content/CMS functionality issues and raising with the relevant teams

Knowledge, skills and experience 

  • Solid experience of website content management systems
  • Understanding of web analytic tools such as Google Analytics
  • Experience of project management tools
  • Basic design skills such as resizing imagery
  • Understanding of web accessibility requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Knowledge of SEO techniques
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong attention to details
  • Strong and confident communicator
  • Some basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Experience of managing a domains service

Additional information

The role is a full-time permanent position

The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP on a hybrid working pattern of 2 days office based (or fully office based if preferred).  Allocated office days for this role are: Tuesday/Wednesday.
