Production Assistant, Group Production, Children’s Division

The opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to enter into the book publishing industry within the production environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised individual to work across our prestigious backlist and provide administrative support to the Production Department.

The Role

To carry out production tasks for assigned lists within the division across reprints and reprint co-editions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uploading files to and distributing files from our digital-asset management system
  • Costing and processing reprints
  • Servicing Print on Demand and backlist eBook conversion programmes
  • Running reports
  • Processing invoices
  • Data entry and other admin tasks to support the team

Knowledge, qualifications and experience

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Proven IT skills (knowledge of Word and Excel essential and a familiarity with Adobe products is desired)
  • Keen eye for detail

This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary of £23,000 per annum based at our beautiful offices in Bedford Square London; however, as all Bloomsbury employees are currently working from home, this role will also be based from home until our offices reopen.
