Bloomsbury’s award-winning audio team are looking for a new Senior Audio Editor, passionate about the audio format, to help support the next phase of our growth.
You’ll be responsible for title selection and production for a wide range of titles, primarily across our Head of Zeus list – with opportunity to work more broadly across our programme of publishing. You’ll have an eye for detail; ensuring your titles keep to budget and publish on time, without compromising on quality and creativity.
Please note this is not a technical, sound design or studio based role.
The role
The Senior Editor, Audio will be responsible for leading on the audio productions for our Head of Zeus publishing: creatively casting, managing process and workflows, selecting appropriate titles for the audio programme, and liaising with agents/authors/in-house colleagues to ensure top-quality productions.
Great at building relationships both internally and externally, you’ll be confident in negotiating with agents, dealing with studios and building a rapport with colleagues across the business, representing audio in cross-department meetings. In incumbent will be required to spend time in both the Bloomsbury and Head of Zeus London offices.
Knowledge, skills and experience
A creative and passionate audio professional, comfortable juggling multiple projects and changing priorities. You’ll be experienced in audio and/or publishing processes, great at building relationships and have a commercially minded approach to decision-making.

- Well organised, thorough and able to prioritise tasks and time plan effectively.

- Strong relationships across the audio industry with voice agents and studio production talent.
- An ear for casting, and a diverse approach to finding the right voice for every book.
- A keen understanding of the audio market, and key trends

The role is a full-time permanent position
Salary Pay Point: £39,000 - £46,300 depending on skills and experience
The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP on a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred). With some days working at our Farringdon office: 5-8 Hardwick Street, 1st Floor East, London EC1R 4RG
Allocated office days for this role are: Tuesday and Thursday
