Bloomsbury Digital Resources is looking for a results-oriented Senior Institutional Sales Manager to join our collaborative global sales team. The role
- Manage a portfolio of existing accounts and developing key relationships with university libraries and non-educational customers
- Identify new business opportunities and establish relationships with potential customers within the target regions
- Manage annual subscription renewals ensuring a high retention rate
- Conduct customer meetings (either virtually or in person) and represent Bloomsbury Digital Resources at relevant academic/library conferences in the UK and Europe
- Provide training or demos to customers for various products when required
- Help to provide solutions to any customer issues that may arise in a timely manner
- Work closely with other internal departments on development and implementation of strategies in relevant sales areas including usage, pricing, and campaign planning
- Manage third party (subscription agents) relationships where required
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Experience in academic sales into the institutional market and quantifiable success as a sales account manager
- A publishing or electronic resources background
- Experience of selling to libraries direct and an extensive set of contacts highly desirable
- Hands on experience in sales and an ability to deliver excellent customer experience
- Knowledge of Salesforce preferred and MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
- Experience with client services/third party sales
Additional information
The role is a full-time maternity cover position (up to 12 months depending on start date).
The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP on a hybrid working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred). Allocated office days for this role are Wednesday and Thursday.
