We currently have a vacancy within our Retail team for a Book Buyer to cover for Maternity leave for 9 months, at 4 days per week.

This role manages all aspects of Book Buying for our three on-site shops at Kew, our online shop and one shop at Wakehurst.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, passionate and experienced Book Buyer who is looking to work in fast paced and rewarding environment which allows for creativity and innovation.

The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is world renowned as a place of tranquil beauty, picturesque gardens and historic buildings with an emphasis on science, education and conservation. Kew Enterprises Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kew Gardens whose key objective is to maximise revenue through its commercial activities.

You'll need to have strong buying experience ideally within Books and experience in a similar visitor attraction would also be a benefit.

The role is based at Kew Gardens in South West London, but with occasional visits to our sister site at Wakehurst.

We are looking for candidates who are ideally available to work from mid-September to allow for a handover period.

Salary will be £26,901 - £32,505 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
