The Role & Team:

Emerald Publishing is seeking a commercially-driven Sales Channel Manager to lead the commercial delivery of our books programme, which has gained a significant reputation as ambitious, progressive and award-winning. We’re looking for someone who can deliver annual revenue targets through the effective management of channel relationships and leadership of Sales Account Executives in region. We’re flexible on location and welcome candidates based from our various international offices including Bingley, UK and Boston, USA.

What You’ll Be Doing:

This role supports revenue growth against Emerald’s objectives and books targets, sold through print trade and digital channels, both direct and via aggregators. This involves managing channel partners, distributors and Sales Account Executives, analyzing the market and results then making commercial decisions based on these, monitoring targets, identifying new opportunities, growing sales and acting on opportunities.

  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Good customer facing, marketing, presentation, business development and strategic thinking skills.

Knowledge:

  • Sales experience of print products in the publishing arena is a must; experience of digital products would be an advantage
  • Experience managing channel partners, sales agents and distributor networks (print wholesalers, retailers, online booksellers)
