Account Executive

Do you want a sales role in which you can make a real difference?  Could you help a publisher manage a limited budget most effectively? Do you want to help break-out the next big debut?

The Bookseller is looking for someone with a passion for publishing and a well-developed ability to understand clients’ marketing objectives. Working for us means you get to deal with book publishers across the board from the largest names to the smallest start-ups. This role spans sales across all our products, print and digital (online & email), social media and events.

The role will encompass the following:

  • Sale of display advertising both online and in print
  • Face-to-face meetings with both new business and current accounts to discuss future projects
  • Pro-actively exploring client needs and coming up with creative marketing solutions
  • Managing a customer database of key contacts
  • Identification of new customers and revenue streams for all of our products

Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience, attributes and skills in some or all of the following:

  • Solid experience of working in online advertising sales
  • Solid experience of working in magazine advertising sales
  • Ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects at one time
  • Team player but also able to work independently using own initiative
  • Great customer service and client management
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Dynamic and flexible
  • Proven experience of working to/exceeding sales targets
  • Proficiency with MS Office, InDesign, Salesforce.com,
