The Opportunity
We are looking for a resourceful and motivated Contracts Assistant to join an energetic and hardworking Contracts Department on a global scale. This is for a part time role 3 days a week or 24 hours spread over 4 or 5 days.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has at least one year’s experience in the industry. This role is suitable for someone with a genuine interest in contracts and rights, a good eye for detail and who will be confident in managing a high volume of administrative work, including the following key areas of responsibility:
- Sending royalty statements to artists;
- Logging contracts and deals;
- Chasing contract drafts/revisions & signature versions;
- Logging co-editions/translations & sub-rights notifications in database and server;
- Notifying artists/authors of sub-rights deals & obtaining their approval where necessary;
- Notifying publishers of the artist approvals of deals;
- Fielding permissions queries, general queries & re-directing to agents or publishers as required;
- Scanning/splitting and uploading of royalty statements.
Key skill and characteristics
- Excellent standard of spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Some office-based work experience.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A team player who is keen to learn and has a desire to work in publishing.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Some knowledge of and interest in royalties desirable but not essential.

- The role is a part time, permanent position. Our offices are based in Clapham Junction, South London.
- This role is minimum of 3 days per week and can be either in office or at home or a mix of both if preferred, with some in-office training at the beginning.
