Finance Manager

Bristol University Press (BUP) is an award-winning social science publisher committed to making a difference and influencing social change.

We are seeking a new Finance Manager who will lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting. The post-holder will ensure both the smooth running of the day-to-day financial processes and the delivery and continuous improvement of high-quality management information and analysis.

We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive Finance Manager who can provide excellent financial advice and support to improve decision making, enable strategic initiatives and improve financial performance.

What will you be doing?

The post-holder will have ownership of the BUP finance function working in liaison with the University of Bristol Finance Team. The role holder will report day-to-day to the BUP Chief Executive and will join the Press’ Senior Management Team. They will have line management responsibility for the Finance and Sales Administrator.

You should apply if

The ability to communicate effectively with non-financial colleagues is crucial alongside strong technical accounting knowledge, commercial acumen and advanced excel and modelling skills. Experience of publishing would be an advantage.
