Business Affairs Manager

Do you have core administrative experience in contracts and permissions?

Our client, a leading independent children's publisher, is looking for a Business Affairs Manager to manage across key areas of the business including Sub-Rights, Contracts and Business Affairs. This is an integral part of the business and is responsible for drafting and issuing publishing agreements across the business as well as overseeing a variety of rights and permission requests, and this is a key position that ensures the team runs smoothly.

You will administer and maintain contracts and deal with internal and external queries. Excellent communication skills and familiarity working with a variety of people is essential as you'll work closely with authors and agents, as well as colleagues across the business. In this role, you will need strong organisational stills and previous experience of publishing contracts. You'll have a track record of successful negotiations and an in-depth knowledge of publishing, including copyright law and subsidiary rights. You'll be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint as well as ideally experience using Biblio.

This is a fantastic position for someone looking to work within a renowned children's publishing house, ideally from a contracts, foreign rights and administration publishing background.
