Business Development Manager

A new opportunity has arisen of Business Development Manager to join a leading global publishing company with a particular focus on their business-to-government (B2G) channel to market. This role is UK based, offering fully remote working, a competitive salary and excellent benefits. The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in the success of the global B2G strategy. You will be responsible for managing the business development pipeline, working closely with regional colleagues to coordinate tender submissions, commission and execute marketing communications, and liaise with stakeholders across the business internationally to support growth and expansion of the public sector business for this global publisher. Responsibilities will also include (amongst others):

  • Define and communicate strategic regional business development objectives
  • Drive business development pipeline, engaging regularly with regional sales colleagues
  • Manage proposal development and tender submission process
  • Track and report on revenue and profitability

The ideal Business Development Manager will have solid publishing or related business experience, as well as excellent organisation, time-management, and planning skills. You will be analytical and have good financial acumen alongside top-notch written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with Middle East business practice and/or Arabic language skills would be beneficial but is not essential.
