The Business Development Manager will grow a company strategy for customer and content acquisition / retention, building and developing new and existing networks and author communities.
This will suit someone who loves building relationships and takes the time to get the best out of your customers, getting to know their individual needs and requirements. You will always be thinking about what else you can offer them, and how else you can give them a better service. This knowledge will also help you articulate this unique offering, as well as develop marketing strategies and campaigns to target new audiences and retain their existing customer base.
Reporting into the Director in the US the Business Development Manager will work closely with management as well as the marketing and sales teams to support them in measuring their effectiveness and will continually look at processes, policies and systems for improvements to help the company achieve their goals.
We are looking for bags of enthusiasm, adaptability and high levels of motivation. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills. You will have prior client relationship management as well as the ability to work on multiple projects, working to deadlines and budget. An existing network within the author community is essential as well as a strong interest in developing this market in the UK.
