Business Development Manager, Book Plus (Field, Home, Office based)

Our client, highly successful creator of quality gift and books plus are growing fast and have created the new position of Business Development Manager to help build retail sales further.

This is in our view a super new role with a highly regarded creative company. They are in a unique position as a leading supplier to major national department stores, supermarkets and gift retailers and you'll be selling a great range of commercial books plus products.

As BDM Manager, you’ll be based partly from home as well as field based (approx 3 days) and ideally located near the HQ in the North West of UK for weekly sales management and team meetings.

This role would suit a highly organised self-starter, an experienced retail salesperson who can creatively sell a broad range of leading commercial quirky and innovative gifts and books to a very varied account base.

This role is key to the Company’s new business development plans. Part of your role is to both spot new business opportunities with retailers as well as building sales with existing accounts which range from department store chains to multi-channel variety retailers, national grocery chains and bargain accounts.

As BDM you will also have the opportunity to build print runs and create ranges of individual bespoke products for the National Accounts you handle, so it’s important you have relevant sales experience, either in special sales books, gifts, toys or equivalent mass market consumer products.

The client welcomes applicants with either long sales experience or those with slightly less experience but are ambitious.
