A well known children's books publisher is seeking a driven and highly ambitious Business Development Executive to join their Hertfordshire office. This role offers an excellent salary and a fantastic opportunity to build a successful career.
As Business Development Executive, your core focus will be developing the US territory and managing US based accounts. This is a varied and exciting role which will involve managing a portfolio of key retailer and distributor accounts and be the go-to person for companies looking to develop a partnership with the publisher, whilst also pro actively explore potential new business opportunities.
Essentially, as Business Development Executive, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring this leading trade publisher continue their success and keep delivering high quality books at affordable prices. Supporting the existing sales team, the role will involve customer presentations, sale analysis, maintaining and updating sales reports using Excel and preparing for large meetings, book fairs and festivals.
The ideal Business Development Executive will be self-motivated and have good commercial acumen, ideally with experience of working in publishing or a strong desire to do so. You will have excellent presentation and negotiation skills, and demonstrate clear communication, both written and verbal. Some experience working with the US markets would be desirable.
