We have an interesting opportunity to work for a leading, global trade publisher as a Business Process Project Manager, to cover maternity for a period of 9-12 months.
This is an extremely interesting role within the organisation and will oversee a number of key projects from around the business in order to streamline their internal process.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Clear communication of KPI’s relating to Critical Path performance around the business
- Identifying smaller projects related to driving improvements against individual measures on the Critical Path
- Project manage the development of a three-stage Biblio/Vista interface which will allow internal teams to manage the customer account information across the business
- Work with the Publishing Director to streamline the print control meeting to ensure internal stakeholders are equipped with relevant information, ensuring effective print decisions
- Oversee the company-wide Biblio induction training programme for new starters and an ongoing training programme based on gaps in capability and adoption
- Host quarterly Biblio key user group meeting to discuss new releases in Biblio
- Track and provide clear accounting for Biblio development expenditure
- Line manage the Business Analyst
This is a pivotal role within the team and the successful person will have demonstrable experience of working on a number of core publishing projects, and strong knowledge of how books are published, a deep knowledge of processes and fantastic communication skills.
The successful person will have:
- Experience of running and improving a core business process
- Experience of setting KPIs and tracking performance
- Experience of solving business problems by using existing processes or implementing improved processes
- Strong awareness of the relationship between process and commercial reality
- Strong knowledge of the publishing process and industry
This role may also suit someone who has a background in production processes, or an editorial services background with strong project management experience, looking for a role which is going to provide a different experience and where you can develop a new set of skills.
