A highly successful and forward-thinking B2B publisher of special interest content for business leaders is looking to recruit first-class sales individuals to create special interest B2B campaigns involving business reports in well-known daily media. This highly sought after and varied role is similar to that of a film producer; write the script, finance it by pitching to advertisers and then hand pick the team that is going to create it, project managing multiple elements throughout the process. The end result of each campaign which you manage is a 16-page report distributed nationwide. This is a fast-paced, unique sales role giving you access to a national press platform where the content you commission can inspire and challenge the UK’s largest and most senior business readership.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Creating revenue to fund the project and make it profitable by selling print advertising and advertorial spaces.
- Identify digital revenue opportunities from conversations and sell appropriate digital content solutions
- Using strong research skills, identify trends and unique ideas for each report topic to develop and in-depth knowledge of the subject and feed into editorial planning process.
- Project manage the process, providing input on editorial and design; liaise with expert freelance journalists etc. to ensure the finished products meet approval.
This is a fabulous varied and unusual sales role and we are looking for people who have some sales experience gained in a commercially focused role, with experience of working to and exceeding sales targets. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and ideally have a sound knowledge of digital publishing solutions (this is not an essential requirement).
