Childrens and Education Sales Executive

Are you an enthusiastic and organised individual with excellent communication and time-management skills? Do you have a passion for Children's and Education titles and would love to work with big exciting brands?
A fantastic opportunity has become available within a well established publisher as a Sales Executive. The main remit of the Sales Executive role will be to manage a number of accounts from the education, school, library, wholesaler and high street sectors. As the go to contact you will answer adhoc queries, as well as providing administrative and organisational support to the small and friendly Children's and Education sales team.

Responsibilities of the Sales Executive include:

Maximise turnover and profit, working with accounts on promotions and opportunities
Attend relevant internal and external meetings
Represent the Sales team at acquisition and publishing meetings, providing confident, informed opinions and reviews on submissions
Present education titles at meetings, both internally and externally
Selling both children's and education titles to wholesalers, suppliers and retailers
Monitor market trends in children's and education sector
Attend events, conferences and launch parties
Liaise with other departments including Publicity & Marketing and Editorial
Provide support to the UK Children's and Education sales team by running reports, keeping grids up to date, and any other departmental administration as required

To be successful in this role you will be confident in communicating with others of varied levels, have great written, numeric and organisation skills, with good attention to detail and commercial acumen. You will have previous experience in multi - tasking and prioritising a busy workload, with the ability to adapt and react quickly. Excel skills will be required and previous use of Biblio, Nielsen, Midas, Cognos and Vista will be advantageous, however training can be provided. If you have a keen interest and knowledge of the UK Children's and Education book market and publishing trends, and also possess the required attributes and experience please get in touch as soon as possible.
