Children's Key Accounts Manager

Are you passionate about children's publishing? Skilled in account management across supermarkets? A leading trade publisher is looking for Key Account Manager for 12 months within their Consumer team. You will be managing the key UK accounts for children's and some adult's lists and driving sales amongst retailers. The role is full-time, and has hybrid working options of 2 days a week in London.

You will be:

  • Building and managing strong, positive relationships with key UK accounts
  • Working with the Sales team (including Special Sales) to devise strategies to grow sales within retail
  • Giving strong presentations and negotiating the best deals
  • Responsible for looking after the marketing budgets for all accounts
  • Coordinating with the PR/marketing team on strategy and campaign (attending marketing meetings, giving sales presentations)

You will have excellent account management/sales skills within book publishing, preferably in children's and a strong grasp on the UK book market. You will be a strong presenter, skilled in building client relationships and have a sense of business development. Tailored negotiation skills and communication skills will be key - this role will be liaising with stakeholders at various levels. You will also be able to navigate Excel and Powerpoint well, creating sales reports easily.
