Children's Rights Manager

Do you have experience in co-edition sales or foreign rights and are looking for your next step? Then, we might have the perfect role for you! Our client, a fantastic and friendly Children’s publisher in Suffolk are looking for someone to join their team. This role would suit someone with a good understanding of international publishing market and you could either be at executive level looking for a step up or an existing manager looking to join a great company. The role will start remotely with the opportunity for remote working once restrictions are lifted. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Sell co-edition and rights to existing accounts
  • Identify new business opportunities to grow the existing list of customer accounts
  • Negotiate on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers
  • Attend international book fairs and travel to customers based in your allocated territories
  • Maximise rights sales turnover and profit for agreed territories.

What you’ll have:

  • Previous experience within rights/co-edition sales in Children's publishing
  • A good understanding of the international publishing market
  • Proven experience of managing customer accounts within a publishing environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and strategic planning skills
  • Fluency in a second language is desirable
