Commercial Publishing Manager

 

Our client is a highly reputable professional membership and they are now looking to hire a Commercial Publishing Manager to manage and develop all publishing relationships, to ensure products meet users needs.

 

This is a brand new role and you will be responsible for managing all external relationships with key suppliers. Making sure they are delivering SLA's as agreed in tender documents. You must come with experience and be comfortable around supplier contracts as you will at some point, need to re tender some of these contracts. Over all our client is looking for someone with publishing experience who can bring people together, join the dots up and deliver results and products. In this role you will be seen as the facilitator, dealing with people at all levels, so confidence in communication is key as well as confidence and ability to run projects and processes efficiently.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Confident and determined nature to deliver against challenges balanced with ability to understand the sensitivities of a situation
    • Business planning, customer experience, change and project management
    • Strong interpersonal skills demonstrating ability to build good business relationships at all levels and influencing senior managers across functional boundaries
    • Tenacious, approachable and astute working under own initiative with can do approach
    • Effective communicator - written and verbal
    • Objective approach to understanding issues with good problem solving skills
    • Ability to think and act strategically
