You will be commissioning books in the areas of Health, Mind, Body, Soul and Personal Development and other categories and will bring with you exciting ideas for new titles as well as author/agent contacts.
The ideal candidate will be a subject matter specialist and have commissioning experience in illustrated and mono non-fiction and the energy and vision to develop trade-based lists, and ensure that profitable titles are produced to schedule and budget. You should understand the editorial process from concept to final publication and have a strong commercial awareness.
The successful candidate will have proven ability to develop successful and profitable projects and strong communication and negotiation skills. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and thrive working independently. You will be a creative and commercially aware individual with some experience in commissioning and managing a list. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a critical role in growing this list further.
