We have a new role of Commissioning Editor with a well established, and highly successful EdTech company based in Oxford! You will be commissioning Secondary English educational resources for their online assessment and revision platform. The company offers an excellent salary, benefits and hybrid working, with ideally 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
Reporting to the Product Director you will have a varied and hands on role where you will be responsible for:
- Identifying opportunities for new Secondary Humanities content with a focus on English
- Commissioning Secondary Humanities content
- Project managing the development of high quality content
- Working with the marketing team to highlight the value of the Humanities content
- Working with the product team to make sure the company's content and platform are closely aligned
The ideal Commissioning Editor will have some experience of commissioning Secondary Education content, ideally for English or other humanities subjects. You will have proven editorial skills (including copy-editing and proofreading skills), and excellent project management along with solid research skills and an understanding of the current education landscape including the latest trends and developments, as well as the challenges Teachers face.
