Commissioning Editor (ELT)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commissioning Editor to join the ELT department of a leading educational publisher based in Central London.  Working closely with international markets, you will commission appropriate and engaging content and manage successful publishing projects.

 

Key duties:

  • Conduct market research to ensure products meet targets and are competitive
  • Identify and commission authors for the development of content
  • Asses and ensure content creation is to quality, suitability and timely delivery
  • Keep up to date and maintain a network of industry contacts to support research and product development
  • Manage performance, training and development of staff

Experience / skills required:

  • Solid editorial and commissioning experience within ELT publishing
  • ELT teaching experience and a formal ELT qualification
  • Proven track recording of delivering print and digital products on time and to budget
  • Good financial knowledge and ability to manage a P&L
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proactive, team-player with project leadership abilities
