Communications Manager

This Communications Manager vacancy is an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of and engagement with an international not-for-profit research and publishing organisation focusing on environmental and agricultural development. This is a permanent role based in the organisation’s South Oxfordshire office.

 

Key duties:

  • Develop and implement media relations strategies to grow awareness of and engagement with the organisation, its services and products
  • Responsible for managing press and media enquiries, issuing statements and case studies
  • Manage and develop social media strategy, building engagement through compelling content
  • Analyse and report on press coverage, editorial impact and social media reach
  • Create content for internal communications, including newsletters and intranet
  • Manage the creation and production of an annual review

Experience / skills required:

  • Established experience in a PR or Communications role in a not for profit environment
  • A solid understanding of PR techniques, including writing for print digital and broadcast media
  • Proven experience of devising and implementing successful social media campaigns
  • A knowledge and understanding of the international development sector
  • Excellent communication skills and a diplomatic approach
  • A creative thinker with a positive approach to devising innovative communications campaigns
