Company Accountant (Independent Trade Publisher, London)
A super role has just come up for an experienced Company Accountant to manage and oversee all financial aspects of the book publishing business. You’ll join a long established and well respected independent family run publisher.
You’ll have the chance to work in a friendly very non-corporate environment with a varied workload. The Company has other financial investments and there could be the chance to get involved in other parts of the business (depending on your experience).
The Company Accountant will work closely with the CEO and manage all aspects of Company accounting; including royalty payments to authors, stock valuation, payroll, as well as produce monthly, quarterly and year-end accounts and regular financial reports to the board.
As Company Accountant (or your job title could Finance Director, depending on experience you bring) you’ll manage one highly experienced direct report, as well as a Royalty Agent and additional outsource Companies and agents.
We are looking for great financial candidates with good experience and who also have previous book publishing experience, especially dealing with author royalties and ideally new title acquisitions.
If you have the relevant up to date accountant qualifications as well as financial management experience with the usual accounting software, including MS Dynamics, then this unique opportunity could be the one for you.
