Content Acquisition Director

We have a most exciting opportunity for a Content Acquisition Director working for an award-winning publisher to be based in their London offices.

In this role, you will lead a creative team of five to create and lead on a programme in digital publishing that will provide students, researchers and lecturers with critical works. You will be responsible for creating new products and managing the overall output of the Content Department in a newly created Digital Division.

Main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Reviewing all business cases for new digital products, and managing these from start to finish.
  • Managing and mentoring the Content Team
  • Instil strategic direction for existing products
  • Signing and developing partnership deals and creating products from these
  • Launching products and managing a team to achieve these goals
  • Improving internal and external processes
  • Working cross-departmentally to work towards a company strategy

The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial and have the imagination to drive exciting and innovative large scale projects, manage a successful team to achieve strategy and goals, and build strong partnerships in order to acquire new products. It is also important for this role to conduct market research, work to create and maintain schedules and be a source of knowledge for this division.
