Content Editor

A highly reputable professional membership body, leading in its field, is looking for an Content Editor working within the civil engineering / built environment sector to work across a wide range of expert content, both print and digital, ensuring its timely delivery and high quality standards.

Our client is based in Central London and offer a hybrid working environment with 1-2 days a week in the London office, they also offer excellent benefits including 25 days holiday + 3 days over xmas + bank holidays; a generous pension scheme; private medical and life assurance.

We are looking for a candidate with experience of working with civil engineering material, whether this is standards, policy, journalism aimed at the professional market - we are not looking for an engineer, but someone who has experience of working within this subject matter, and is confident translating technical jargon into content in the form of reports, articles and video or podcast scripts.

The successful candidate will have superb communication skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders some of which will be very senior specialists in their field. Excellent written skills and the ability to translate technical content and finally good knowledge of exposure to the civil engineering or built environment sector is essential.

You will be liaising with freelancers, internal managers and their external networks of authors and advisory boards. You will have an excellent eye for detail and be absolutely passionate about the idea of content as a vehicle for knowledge enhancement.
