Content Editor - Professional Publishing

We have a fabulous new permanent role for a candidate with a strong editorial background to work for one of the UK’s leading providers of marketing and communication material to financial services professionals and Accountants. Based in London, the Content Editor will focus on the editorial management, development and delivery of editorial content across the organisation’s client communication portfolio, and will ensure that all products are well-written and engaging and are technically accurate and relevant.

A strong editorial background will help underpin the coordination and management of a range of products in line with their processes, house styles, schedules, budgets and quality requirements.

The Content Editor will plan and commission required copy to ensure strong up-to-date coverage, suitable for the target audience, across the products, including quarterly newsletters, guides and reports.  You will provide overall editorial control, whilst maintaining quality and accuracy.  You will be comfortable sub-editing the content, working with layouts and checking the technical and written quality and clarity of the text. Other areas of responsibility will involve layout, proofing and sign off, scheduling and project management and product quality.

This is a permanent, full-time role, which is both interesting and varied and the successful person will have a solid editorial background, with experience of managing multiple projects to schedule.  You will have a knowledge of layouts and images with experience of commissioning and working with professional authors.  The ability to write clear and concise copy is essential as is experience of working with Word, Excel and ideally Acrobat.
