Our client is a leading professional publisher based in West London, they are now seeking a Content Editorial Manager to join their team managing a small team of Content Editors and a Production Content Editor.
The Content Editorial Manager will be required to line manage, develop, coach and train an operational, content focused editorial team who are responsible for providing a high quality editorial service including copy editing in XML, typesetting, proofreading and content analysis for a high volume of standards products. This position will lead the delivery of standards content across all delivery channels, including HTML, PDF and hard copy. This team will work closely and collaboratively with other teams across the business to deliver content at the highest level of quality.
In addition to line management the Content Editorial Manager will be responsible for applying XML structure to content, and managing operational XML typesetting activities with external suppliers as well as being the lead point of contact for any queries or issues.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing or leading teams with demonstrable knowledge and experience of using XML and in working with online content workflow tools to support the delivery of content. An excellent approach to planning and prioritisation is essential, alongside strong analytical and problem solving skills.
