Contracts Assistant

A prestigious UK publisher is looking for a Contracts Assistant to join their friendly and expanding Contracts Department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with some contracts administration experience within the publishing sector who is looking for a step up. This is a full time, permanent role.

Key duties:

  • Responsible for the overall contracts administration across the company
  • Maintaining an accurate database and ensure the smooth running of the Contracts department
  • Drafting contacts including addenda, letters of termination and head contracts
  • Liaising with authors and agents to agree on publications terms
  • Respond to general queries from internal and external counterparts
  • Process reversion requests including analysis of sales figures and stock levels

Experience / skills required:

  • Proven experience in a contracts administration role within publishing
  • Knowledge of Biblio will be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise efficiently
