Contracts Executive

An engaging role of a Contracts Executive has come through with a well-established trade publisher of highly illustrated books covering subjects such as architecture, lifestyle and culture. You will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating contracts across various departments in editorial, sales and acquisitions. The role is full-time, permanent and offers hybrid working pattern (3 days a week in the London office).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Drafting and negotiating contracts for authors, licenses and agreements with publishers and third-party distributors
• Reviewing reversion letters and termination letters

• Assisting the Contracts Manager
• Creating terms for events such as competitions
• Working with the Permissions Department

You will need to have worked in a Contracts role within publishing with a strong grasp drafting of contracts as well as copyright and royalty processes. A knowledge of co-editions will also be beneficial. You will be a strong, professional communicator in verbal and written form, proficient in Microsoft Office and managing database systems. Strong time management and multi-tasking skills will also be beneficial for this role.
