Our client, an international book publisher is looking for a Contracts Executive to join its busy contracts department to draft and negotiate contracts across a range of commercial trade books, consumer magazines, and merchandise.
The main duties include;
Draft, negotiate and process publishing/merchandise agreements for all internal divisions of TPG, including print, e-, audio, foreign rights contracts
Track, instigate & process contract renewals and reversion requests
Deal with permissions and similar requests
Process and bill materials requests and/or supervise these tasks done by others in the team
Maintain accurate and timely records of all contracts
Experience / skills required:
Solid experience of drafting and negotiating book publishing contracts. Experience with licensed contracts and magazine, merchandise contracts preferable.
Proven negotiation and communication skills and a keen eye for detail
An understanding of publishing processes and practices and copyright issues on a worldwide basis
A knowledge and interest in digital publishing issues is desirable
This is a London part-time role with flexible working from 3 to 4 days per week (9am – 5.30pm) and offers a good salary depending on the experience you bring of course.
