Contracts Manager

A well-esteemed book publisher of non-fiction and fiction titles based in London has an exceptional Contracts Executive position open. They are looking for an organised individual with knowledge of drafting and negotiating publishing contracts to join their team. The role is full-time and remote.

The Contracts team is an integral part of the business and is responsible for the preparation and negotiation of all publishing agreements across the company's varied lists to obtain the most favourable publishing terms and to maximise benefits for the Company. You will be primarily responsible for organising the preparation, negotiation and processing of author agreements across all divisions, and managing the reversion of rights process. You will be drafting contracts from templates as well as clauses from scratch and building strong rapports with colleagues, agents and authors.

You will ideally have experience from trade publishing or within the media industry, combined with proven negotiating and communication skills with the ability to draft contracts and an in-depth knowledge of contracts, copyright and subsidiary rights. Well-organised and friendly, you must also be able to deliver results whilst managing a varied workload.
