Country Manager (UK)

Atwood Tate has a rare opportunity to join a market leading digital media company distributing eBooks, audiobooks and video products to libraries and schools. The Country Manager (UK) is a new role and you will be joining a forward thinking company who advocate literacy and your ideas and work will contribute to cutting-edge initiatives that positively impact millions of people. This is a home-based opportunity.

Key duties:

  • Acquisition of new customers and support of existing customers (libraries and schools  in the UK and Ireland)
  • You will conduct market analysis for customer acquisition, as well as the maintenance of existing customers
  • Autonomous planning and design of all sales activities in the territory, including offers and contract negotiation  
  • You will develop detailed product knowledge in order to offer effective customer consulting and joint creation of customized, individual solutions
  • Monitor and actively assist library clients to ensure their goals include lending, user growth and digital asset quality
  • Produce detailed and regular reports
  • Committed and independent sales activities via telephone, email, social media and other appropriate methods
  • Processing public tenders with the support of the legal department
  • Close collaboration with US-based leadership team and content acquisition team in the US and UK
  • Creation of relevant UK centric marketing materials supported by the content team

Experience / skills required:

  • Must have proven sales experience in the library sector and/or schools and close links with  publishing / digital media
  • Solid experience building and developing business relationships, negotiating terms, and successfully concluding contract negotiations
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM program and knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong communication skills including public speaking
  • Initiative, enthusiasm, negotiating skills and a purposeful way of working
  • Detail oriented with technical experience
  • Travel throughout the UK as required including representing the company at conferences and trade fairs
