Custom, Enterprise & Foreign Rights Manager

A leading international publisher have an opportunity for a Custom, Enterprise, and Foreign Rights Manager to join their Higher and Vocational Education Publishing team in their Hampshire office.

The Custom, Enterprise, and Foreign Rights Manager will be responsible for the smooth and efficient delivery of the custom and enterprise publishing programme and for the foreign rights programme, ensuring projects are produced on time through managing the schedule and setting appropriate pricing for each project. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining the custom and digital enterprise schedule from initial enquiry through to delivery
  • Scheduling and tracking of the programmes from initial request to publication and sale
  • Ensuring projects are published in time and meet customer specifications
  • Reporting on progress and developments relating to the programmes
  • Managing the foreign rights requests and programme, and ongoing maintenance and updating

of the Bradbury-Phillips Foreign Rights database, and for liaison with the Royalties team

The ideal Custom, Enterprise, and Foreign Rights Manager will have experience of working in custom and enterprise and foreign rights or similar roles, and managing projects through due processes, as well as be able to demonstrate excellent organisational, prioritisation and decision-making skills, together with a proactive and flexible approach. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of colleagues from sales, marketing, editorial and production and across diverse regions and markets, and be proactive and with a flexible approach to adapt to different customer types (e.g. academics, librarians, distributors, publishers). This role may involve some travel to attend conferences, trade fairs, meet authors and instructors etc.
