Our client, a highly successful global educational publisher, has an exciting opportunity for a Custom Publishing and Licensing Manager to join their friendly and supportive team. This role offers an excellent salary and benefits package, as well as flexible, hybrid working, with the ideal candidate being able to work 3 days per week from the company's central London office when the offices re-open.
As Custom Publishing and Licensing Manager you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of Custom Publishing projects and lead on the Licensing for all third-party licensing deals (rights out) as well as intercompany licenses. You will support the Head of Custom Publishing in communicating and liaising with the Regional sales teams to ensure projects are financially viable, meet customer expectations and deadlines are achieved. As well as being the line manager for the Custom team you will also be responsible for planning to ensure that all projects meet publication dates, costs and required standards.
The ideal Custom Publishing and Licensing Manager will have an in-depth understanding of publishing processes for print and digital and an understanding of the global ELT market, as well as the ability to manage teams and a varied workload - strong communication is key. Prior print and digital licensing experience, preferably in a book publishing role, with a good understanding of the different licensing models and methods would be beneficial but is not essential, as would knowledge of copyright and related intellectual property law.
