Data Controller

We're excited to be working on a great role with a prestigious scientific publisher of digital products! They are now seeking a Data Controller to work on some of their amazing flagship database products, to support content processing workflow, data capture, and coordinate XML management This role can be largely remote, with occasional travelling to their offices based in Oxfordshire.

Key responsibilities:

• Updating and maintaining the data model documentation for stakeholders and suppliers
• Coordinating third-party data supply processes internally or collaboratively with external vendors
• Acting as system owner for software and managing its data outputs
• Troubleshooting any issues around database systems
• Collaborating with Editorial on queries around product requirements
• Monitoring quality of XML and performance of data

This is a technical role focused on working with XML-based products and requiring familiarity with content management systems and data models, preferably within the publishing industry. You will ideally have some experience of working with journals and books, and be confident in communicating technical information to non-specialist audiences.
