Book Agents' Assistant

Salary: from £26,500 – £30,000 p.a., depending on experience

This role, assisting literary agents Caroline Walsh and Veronique Baxter, offers an ideal opportunity for a self-starter with children’s book trade experience, who has a real passion for children’s publishing.  The ideal candidate will be organised and meticulous, have excellent written and verbal communication skills alongside creative flair. Based in our Soho offices, responsibilities will include day-to-day administrative assistance to the agents, the creation and maintenance of website and database entries, processing contracts, tracking publication details, liaising with our film and translation teams, as well as reading and reporting on new texts. This busy full-time role provides an exciting opportunity for someone with energy and initiative. Design skills, including knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Canva, as well as experience in social media management, would be highly sought after.

Our clients include Cressida Cowell, Michael Morpurgo, Liz Pichon, Jacqueline Wilson and Jonathan Stroud.
