Delivery Manager

The Education division of a leading international publishing organisation are seeking a Delivery Manager to join them on a permanent, full-time basis. This role offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, as well as hybrid / remote working based out of the company's Oxford office, with great flexibility on number of days in the office.

The Delivery Manager will play a key strategic role in helping to continue the growth and commercial success for the education business in mainland China. As Delivery Manager your main remit will be the project management of deals, acting as the main point of contact and facilitating discussions and meetings and ensuring a process is followed. The second area of responsibility will be Governance - issue spotting, IP, tax, finance, commercial and board level papers. You will work closely with the local team in Shanghai, as well as other stakeholders across the business leveraging your strong project management, commercial, problem-solving and communication skills in order to successfully manage market deals and opportunities, providing project management and governance support based on deal priority, size and complexity; you will act as a key interface, ensuring that the right people are involved at the right time so as to aid fast, efficient, and effective decision-making; you will drive problem-solving where needed; and monitor and enhance the effectiveness of the deal processes, embedding improvements through training and change management.

The ideal Delivery Manager will have strong project and programme management skills as well as the ability to manage large/complex projects in a dynamic environment. Excellent stakeholder management, strong multi market project management experience and top-notch verbal and written communication skills will all be highly valuable. This could suit someone from a Sales background. Publishing knowledge would be highly valuable as would experience of working in China or working with stakeholders in China - related language skills would also be an added advantage. Knowledge of process design is also desirable but by no means essential.
