Deputy Editor - 9 month contract
Our client, a professional magazine publisher are looking to recruit a Deputy Editor with strong digital experience for their London Office on an initial 9 month contract.
You will have substantial experience writing and editing magazines in the professional, business, legal or financial sector. As Deputy Editor, you will be supporting the current Editor and be responsible for managing the commissioning, editing and production processes for content across different formats.
Key responsibilities will include; overseeing the entire production process, liaising closely with Marketing and Business Development to ensure that the content is of interest and adheres to the strategy, ensuring content and products are delivered according to schedule and budget and working hands on editorially across multiple formats as and when required. In addition you must have strong writing skills so you can sub edit and fit content to house style and space. You will also be able to edit online and in print, from a background in professional publications and websites.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a digitally-minded Editor with first class editorial and project management skills. The ideal candidate will be proficient in InDesign, uploading content via a CMS system and email marketing software. You will be joining a small team where you can shape and influence their growth in digital.
