Production Editor

Our client, a major player in the digital B2B space and a publisher specialising within niche industries is looking to recruit a Production Editor for one of their flagship publications.

This role will form part of their tight-knit team, and lead on the weekly print content (including making changes to print and digital layout) and helping to produce daily digital content. This will include subediting, fact-checking, design and layout for both digital and print, as well as curation of daily newsletters.

You will help set the tone for how this leading publication looks and feels.

You will help to set the highest standards for the accuracy and quality of the print content, working with the production manager to ensure the publication is thought-provoking. Working with reporters on improving their copy, assisting the editor and head of content and suggesting innovative ways for the publication to keep improving how it presents its data-led journalism. You will lead on weekly magazine print production and design layouts.

You will need:                                                

  • Knowledge and experience of InDesign and Photoshop
  • Around 2 years’ experience in a production editorial role role
  • An interest and experience in magazine design/layout work
  • Knowledge of using a CMS
  • Knowledge of other Adobe software ( Illustrator) ideal
